Abstract
The dynamic behaviour of the laser frequencies induced by non-linearities of the active medium is investigated theoretically for the representative case of three simultaneously oscillating modes. Occurance of combination tones is explained byLamb's theory. Experimental values of the spacings between combination tones and laserfrequencies are in agreement with theory. Inserting experimental relaxation times intoLamb's theory the experimental intensities of the combination tones were also found to be in agreement with the theory.
