Long wavelength density fluctuations in supercooled liquids

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik B Condensed Matter

Abstract

Long wavelength density fluctuations in a classical liquid are discussed in terms of a model which has the correct small frequency behaviour and the correct high frequency limit, neglecting thermal relaxation effects. Moreover, the first three frequency moments are correct, so that the model should be well suited for the interpretation of inelastic neutron scattering experiments on supercooled liquids.
