Zusammenfassung

Die sozialepidemiologische Ungleichheitsforschung, die sich mit der Beziehung zwischen sozialer Schicht und Krankheit/Lebenserwartung beschäftigt, begibt sich durch eine ausbleibende theoriegeleitete Konzeptualisierung der komplexen Kausalkette von sozialer Ungleichheit bis hin zum Individuum und durch die fehlende Ausdifferenzierung ihrer einzelnen Glieder erheblicher Erkenntnismöglichkeiten. Zur Behebung dieser Defizite wird ein hierarchisches Mehrebenen-Prozesmodell vorgeschlagen, in dem die Lage im System sozialer Ungleichheit (Makroebene) mit der Handlungsebene (Mesoebene) und diese wiederum mit der Individualebene (Persönlichkeit/Organismus) in verschiedenen Abschnitten des Lebenslaufs miteinander verknüpft werden.

Résumé

La recherche concernant les inégalités socio-épidémiologiques est menée dans le but d'étudier les relations entre les couches sociales, la maladie et l'espérance de vie. Elle se prive de possibilités de connaissances supplémentaires par manque de concept théorique concernant l'enchaînement causal entre les inégalités sociales et leurs conséquences chez e'individu, d'une part, et par un manque de différenciation entre chaque élément de cette classe, d'autre part. Pour palier à ce défaut, nous proposons un modèle de processus hiérachique à plusieurs niveaux, qui permette de relier la position dans le système des inégalités sociales (dimension macro) avec le niveau d'action (dimension méso, surtout dans le contexte familial et professionnel). En outre, ces deux dimensions peuvent être reliées à leur tour avec celles de l'invidivu (dimension micro, soit la personnalité ou l'organisme) en fonction de ses différentes phases de vie.

Summary

The inquiry of the association between social class and illness/life expectancy lacks as well on theory orientated conceptualization of the complex causal chain from social inequality to individual consequences as on differentiation of each of its links. In order to eliminate these deficits a hierachical mulitdimensional process model will be introduced, in which the position in the system of social inequality (macro dimension) is connected with the dimension of social action (meso dimension, esp. family and professional context) and this again with the dimension of the individual (micro dimension: personality/organism) in different stages of the life course.
