Abstract
We discuss the use of the self consistent harmonic approximation applied to the two-dimensional classical anisotropic Heisenberg ferromagnet. The Kosterlitz-Thouless transition temperature for the isotropic antiferromagnet in a uniform magnetic field, applied perpendicular to the xy plane, is obtained.
