Intensity studies in Raman effect

Part IV. Depolarisation factors of Raman lines in liquids

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik

Abstract

The depolarisation factors of Raman lines in the case of the liquids CCl4, CHCl3 and C6H6 have been obtained for two different modes of excitation and using unpolarised and linearly polarised incident light. The result are discussed in relation to the theoretical predictions.
