Conclusions

Hydrogeological studies of refractory-clay deposits based on a characterization of the principal features of the water-bearing seams represent a more efficient approach to the planning of the type and volume of hydro-geological works and prevent serious calculation errors in an assessment of the natural conditions prevailing in the deposits.

The basic principles underlying this method of studying water-bearing seams can be used in the hydro-geological investigation of all deposits of minerals consisting of carbonate, sandy, and clayey rocks.
