The influence of a pulsed electrical field of thallium-mono-selenide during the solidification

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik B Condensed Matter

Abstract

Melts of thallium-mono-selenide were cooled in a pulsed electrical field. Differential-enthalpy analysis and measurements of the electrical conductivity indicate that the electrical field dissociates the Tl-ion from thallium-mono-selenide. Furthermore it is shown that differential-enthalpy-analysis as well as the temperature dependent electrical conductivity measurements are suitable for detecting deviation from stoichiometric composition of thallium-mono-selenide.
