Abstract
We report some results of analogue simulation for the Duffing oscillator with fluctuating elastic constant. We investigate both static and dynamical properties of such system under non-perturbative conditions, i.e. in the limit of strong non-linearity and large fluctuation intensity. Experimental measurements are compared with theoretical predictions obtained by generalizing the results of the foregoing paper. We also analyze effects due to finite correlation time of the multiplicative noise. The perturbation approximations available in the literature are verified, while a completely new asymptotic behaviour is observed in the limit of very long correlation times.
