A note on the stability analysis of a one-dimensional Bloch wall

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik B Condensed Matter

Abstract

Hydrodynamic stability of a one dimensional Bloch wall in an easy-axis ferromagnet in an external magnetic field is analysed. The external field is assumed to be perpendicular to the easy axis of magnetization. Energies of the ground state and metastable states are calculated. In the case of strong magnetic field stability condition is obtained. Possibility of two dimensional nucleation in the wall is discussed.
