Dust extraction plant behind a rotary kiln for burning dolomite

Conclusions

Effective purification of flue gases extracted from rotary kilns used for firing dolomite when the unit is heated with natural gas can be guaranteed in a double-staged dust-extraction plant consisting of battery cyclones and electric filters.

When the furnace is heated with highly sulfurous oil the working efficiency of the electric filter diminishes, and the shaking off of the dust from the electrodes is impaired.

When the furnace is operated on oil with additions of natural gas the working efficiency of the electric filter is better than with oil heating.
