Abstract
The local andl-independent potential which isS-matrix equivalent to the parity dependent potential of Michel and Reidemeister forα scattering from20Ne has been determined by inversion. The two potentials which fit elastic scattering produce radically different wavefunctions where the nuclei overlap. Phenomenological consequences are discussed.
