Conclusions

When hydraulicking under conditions in which there is a shortage of water, a water-supply system using reclaimed water makes it possible to carry out extensive quarrying operations and to protect the water sources of the region from contamination by mechanical impurities.

The method of scaffold alluviation of hydro-terraces composed of loamy and clay soils more than 20 m high, each with a volume of several million cubic meters, which is used at present at the quarries belonging to the Semiluki Refractory Plant, may be successfully used at other mining enterprises engaged in hydraulicking.
