Conclusions

The introduction of the gamma radiographic method of inspecting fused refractories makes it possible to turn out guaranteed products and to prevent blocks containing cavities and pores finding their way into the brickwork of basin walls and other parts of the glass-founding furnaces. As a result the life of the refractories is increased.
