Conclusions
On the basis of the Stokes law taking into account the Oseen correction we propose a formula for calculating the settling of solid particles of powdered materials with enhanced accuracy in carrying out sedimentation analysis. The formula is valid for particles of radius from 10 to 50μ with a wide density range.
We calculated the graphic relationships for v0=f(r,ρ 1) enabling us without additional calculations to find the settling rate for particles, which is of undoubted suitability for work in factory laboratories.
