Refractories Aims and scope

Conclusions

The advantages of the fluidized bed consist of the continuity of movement of the particles of material being fired, the uniformity of its composition, the intensity of the heat transfer from the heat carrier to the material, the possibility of mechanization and automation of the processes and accurate regulation of the firing temperature.

The firing cycle in laboratory conditions was 15–20 min while in rotary furnaces it is 3–4 h.
