On the applicability of classical description to the statistical angular distributions in heavy ion reactions

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik A Atomic Nuclei

Abstract

The analysis of classical description of the statistical angular distributions is given and the criterion of its applicability is obtained by the comparison with the exact quantal calculations. It is shown that the approach considered can be applied to a wide range of experiments dealing with the compound heavy ion reactions.
