Refractories Aims and scope

Conclusions

It is necessary to accelerate the technological testing of Bosninsk dolomites and to study the possibility of supplying them to refractory concerns in the UkSSR, and in the near future to settle the question of developing the location with the aim of increasing the reserves, since the building of a combine with a capacity of 3.5–4 million tons of commercial dolomite a year will require more than existing, developed reserves.

The existence of big reserves of high-grade dolomite, the proximity of the natural-gas pipeline and other favorable conditions have created prerequisites for building a large combine for mining and calcining dolomite which will form a reliable raw-material base for producing tarred dolomite refractories for the UkSSR.
