Conclusions
Chromia-containing composite material has good strength both at 20°C and at much higher temperatures. Above 1000°C, plastic deformation which arises as a result of the action of compressive and bending loads is observed.
The material is used for the manufacture of elements in complex devices in ferrous-metal casting equipment at 1300–1450°C and also as heat-insulating material.
