Refractories Aims and scope

Conclusions

We developed and introduced a sonic method for determining the apparent density, porosity, and compressive strength of magnesite-chromite, chromemagnesite, and chamotte (fireclay) refractories.

A method is discussed for mass control of steel-casting plugs based on the IChMK apparatus.
