Analysis of ferrous slag deposits on a refractory base

  • Published:
Refractories Aims and scope

Conclusions

The refractory linings tested in this investigation can serve as a base for the slag deposit in a converter processing ferrous melts.

The measured values of the thermal conductivity and flux can be used for the thermotechnical analysis of production units with cooled lining on the basis of the known thermal conductivity of the refractory lining and the temperature of the melt.
