Characteristics of the technology of fused high-zirconia refractories

  • Published:
Refractories Aims and scope

Conclusions

The zirconia content in the high-density zone of the blocks of experimental batches of high-zirconia refractories was found to be 40–50%. The quality of the product was good and spoilage did not exceed 14–16%.

The high-zirconia refractories are more sensitive than Bakor-33 to the annealing conditions.

The chemical and mineral composition of the structure formed in the high-zirconia products in the casting process is zonewise nonhomogeneous.
