Conclusions
The reaction sintering method was used with a batch based on grains of magnesium oxide and milled silicon at 1400–1500°C to obtain materials of granular structure with complex and nitride bonds having a high density and strength, and increased thermal shock resistance. The material based on periclase with the nitride bond also possesses excellent dielectric properties at high temperatures. This material can be used at temperatures up to 1500°C under thermal shock conditions.
