Reactions between pure CaO ceramics and refractory metals

Conclusions

Determinations were made of the temperature and nature of noticeable reaction between ceramics based on CaO and refractory metals as a function of the type of metal and gaseous atmosphere (with short contact times). The temperature of commencement of noticeable reaction comes within the range 1700–2000°C.
