Summary
Basic parameters for diffusion-welding of vacuum-tight corundum ceramics were studied systematically. The possibility of the formation of a seam having a vacuum-tightness and strength corresponding to characteristics of high-quality vacuum-tight corundum ceramics was determined. The microstructure of the joint of welded pieces was investigated and its correlation to the strength and vacuum-tightness of the formed seam was demonstrated.
