  • Published:
Refractories Aims and scope

Conclusions

Production tests have been conducted of reciprocating and rotary types slide gates on the tundishes of Orsk-Khalilov and Cherepovets Metallurgical Combines. The refractory portion of the slide gates provides use of them in service. The technology and organization of production of slide gates and inner nozzles of various refractory compositions have been developed. The designs of tundish slide gates are in need of improvement. Measures have been planned for conducting work directed toward further introduction of slide gate pouring of steel from tundishes.
