Surface properties of cast iron melts during refining with calcium-oxide based refractories

Conclusions

The sessile droplet method was used to investigate various additives for calcium oxide on the surface characteristics of molten cast iron, and the relationship between these parameters and the process of desulfuration.

Investigations showed the high inertia of the developed body and its desulfurating capacity.
