Summary
In the cells of the fungiNeurospora crassa, Rhizopus nigricans, andSaccharomyces cerevisiae catalase was detected in distinct granula with the cytochemical procedure ofFahimi (1968). The specificity of the staining reaction was demonstrated by the inhibitory action of 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole.
