Summary
Neodym magnesium nitrates from former separations containing 26 kgRE 2O3 were fractionally crystallized (the more impure parts were submitted to a pre-concentration); after 117 rows there resulted neodym double nitrate containing 4.56 kg oxide of approximately 99.9% purity. The effective separation factors are discussed.
