Potentiometric determination of thioureas with diethylene tetraammonium sulphatocerate

  • Published:
Microchimica Acta Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Diethylene tetra-ammonium sulphatocerate has been used as a redox reagent for the direct potentiometric titration of thiourea and its organic derivatives. The thioureas are oxidised to their corresponding disulphides with a single electron change. The method is simple and accurate under the specified conditions.
