Summary
A procedure is outlined for the extraction of the gold(III) chloride complex of 4-heptanone oxime into chloroform. Using the recommended procedure, greater than 99.0% of the gold(III) taken at the 34 mg/100 ml level is extracted. The effects due to hydrochloric acid concentration, oxime concentration and multiple extraction are described.
