Summary
The closure of large liver lesions by means of tissue glue is difficult in case of mild hemorrhage and technically impossible in case of severe hemorrhage. Technical possibilities of total interruption of liver circulation are reviewed. Ischemia tolerance of the liver under identical conditions was examined using experimental interruption of liver circulation in rabbits with step by step prolongation of clamping time. The results, which are in accordance with published reports, make apparent, that 25 min represent the upper allowable limit of total interruption of liver circulation.
Zusammenfassung
Die Versorgung ausgedehnter Leberläsionen mit Gewebekleber wird durch mäßige Blutung gefährlich behindert und ist bei schwerer Blutung technisch undurchführbar. Die technischen Möglichkeiten der totalen Zirkulationsunterbrechung der Leber werden diskutiert sowie die zeitliche Toleranz der Leber unter identischen Bedingungen durch Versuche an Kaninchen mit stufenweiser Verlängerung der Zirkulationsausschaltung geprüft. Die Versuchsergebnisse, die mit Literaturangaben übereinstimmen, lassen 25 min als oberste Zeitspanne der Zirkulationsunterbrechung als vertretbar erscheinen.
