Gefahren und therapeutische Anwendung der Schränkung des Küntscherschen Unterschenkelnagels

Summary

The intramedullary Küntscher nail for the lower leg has an arcuation at the proximal as well as at the distal end, which degrees of the angles — up to authors' measurements — are different.

In consequence of this arcuation it exists the risk of an axial malalignment, when the nail rotates around its longitudinal at nailing. When the slot for extracting the nail is to the medial an 0-arcuation occurs, if however the slot is in the lateral position an X-arcuation occurs.

The authors show that this arcuation effect at closed perforation and intramedullary nailing of pseudarthrosis of the lower leg and for the correction of an osteotomie of the lower leg can be used for the equalisation of defective positions.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird gezeigt, daß sich die am proximalen und distalen Ende des Küntscher-Nagels vorhandene Biegung, deren Winkelgrade unterschiedlich sind, bei der geschlossenen Aufbohrung und Marknagelung von Pseudarthrosen des Unterschenkels und bei Korrekturosteotomien zum Ausgleich von Fehlstellungen ausnutzen läßt.
