Summary

Semimalignant bone tumors are characterized by local destructive and invasive growth and the tendency to recur. Haematogenous metastases are exceptional or a late manifestation. Typical examples of semimalignancy are giant-cell tumors, large chondromas of the pelvis, and recurrent chondromas in any location. The treatments of choice are early resection or amputation.

Zusammenfassung

Mit Semimalignität bezeichnet man Knochengeschwülste mit örtlich aggressivem und invasivem Wachstum und Neigung zum Rezidiv. Hämatogene Fernmetastasen sind die Ausnahme und eine Späterscheinung. Wichtigste Repräsentanten der semimalignen Geschwulstgruppe des Skelets sind die Riesenzellgeschwülste, die großen Chondrome, besonders des Beckens, und sämtliche Chondromrezidive. Behandlungsmethoden der Wahl sind die Blockresektion und Amputation.
