Die photometrische Bestimmung von Metallkomplexen des Mercaptobenzthiazols

Zusammenfassung

Bei der Reaktion von Mercaptobenzthiazol mit Quecksilberchloranilat bildet sich das schwerlösliche Quecksilbersalz des Mercaptobenzthiazols. Die in äquivalenter Menge freiwerdende Chloranilsäure erlaubt, analog den bekannten Bestimmungen von Halogeniden und Pseudohalogeniden über eine photometrische Messung eine quantitative Erfassung der gesuchten Substanz. Werden Kationen mit einer Maßlösung von Mercaptobenzthiazol gefällt, läßt sich der Überschuß des Fällungsmittels bestimmen und so der jeweilige Gehalt an Metallion berechnen.

Summary

In the reaction of mercaptobenzthiazole with mercury chloranilate the relatively insoluble mercury salt of mercaptobenzthiazole is formed. The equivalent amount of chloranilic acid released permits a quantitative determination of the substance investigated via a photometric measurement analogous to the known determinations of halogenides and pseudohalogenides. If cations are precipitated with a known amount of mercaptobenzthiazole, the excess of precipitant can be determined and the content of metal ion calculated.
