The external pericardium has its own blood supply which is related to these vasa venarum. These vessels are capable of hypertrohpy and they have a few interesting cross points, that is the decussation of the large cardiac veins or at the reflection fold from the pericardium to the epicardium.

Der äußere Herzbeutel hat seine eigene Blutversorgung, die dem Vasa venarum verwandt ist. Diese Gefäße sind zur Hypertrophie fähig und haben einige interessante Schnittpunkte, nämlich an den Kreuzungsstellen der großen Herzvenen oder an der Umschlagfalte von Perikard zu Epikard.
