Klinik und Punktionscytologie bei chronischen Mastitiden

Summary

The clinical aspects of chronic mastitis and the author's results achieved by means of aspiration biopsy cytology are dealt with from the oncological point of view. It is stated that chronic mastitis occurs more rarely in these days than a few years ago. In the course of 1000 breast examinations made by means of aspiration biopsy cytology in 1967–1979, there were 17 cases of chronic, nonspecific mastitis, 1 tuberculous mastitis, 2 plasmocytic mastitis, and 1 case in which the simultaneous occurence of tuberculosis and carcinoma were diagnosed with the help of this method. In the above diaseases the accuracy of aspiration cytology is high. The procedure is fast, accurate, and can be performed on outpatients, too. Its application is recommended in all places where there are adeauate conditions.

Zusammenfassung

Der Stellenwert der mit der Punktionscytologie gewonnenen Diagnosen bei chronischer Mastitis wird besprochen. Im Zusammenhang mit den im Zeitraum von 1967–1979 durchgeführten 1000 punktionscytologischen Untersuchungen der Mamma wurden 17 chronische, nicht spezifische Mastitiden, 1 Mastitis tuberculosa und 2 plasmacelluläre Mastitiden sowie in einem Fall das gemeinsame Vorkommen von Mammatuberkulose und -carcinom diagnostiziert. Die Treffsicherheit der Punktionscytologie ist bei den obigen Krankheitsbildern hoch. Der Vorteil der punktionscytologischen Untersuchung ist, daß diese rasch und ambulant durchführbar ist. Sie ist überall dort angezeigt, wo die personellen und objektiven Bedingungen dazu gewährleistet sind.
