Gallbladder visualization following hepatic arteriography for hemangioma

Summary

Gallbladder visualization in two patients with hepatic hemangioma—one histologically confirmed—following selective arteriography has been observed. One patient had normal renal function, the other had multiple myeloma with renal impairment. The different reasons for heterotopic excretion of urographic agents are discussed, and it is pointed out that liver hemangioma might be responsible for the visualization of the gallbladder after visceral arteriography.
