Summary
Seven temperature-sensitive mutants of RS virus were analyzed genetically for evidence of complementation and recombination. The results of these tests suggested that there were 3 mutually exclusive complementation groups. No evidence of recombination was obtained; however, mixed infection of cells with mutants belonging to 2 different complementation groups yielded viruses which appeared to be complementing heterozygotes.
