Additional information

]The structure existing in crystals is a regular and periodic arrangement in three dimensions of the atoms or molecules. The term crystal is used here for a repetitive structure observed in electron micrographs. The lattice is of macro-molecular dimensions and is probably an organized condensation of protein or lipoprotein occurring in special bodies found in plant and animal cells.
