Zusammenfassung

Aromatische Isocyanate reagieren mit sekundären aliphatischen Aminen in Dimethylformamid quantitativ zu Harnstoffen, während eine Reaktion mit aromatischen Aminen nicht eintritt, solange ein Überschuß an aliphatischer Base anwesend ist. In mineralsaurer Lösung findet weder Reaktion mit aromatischen noch mit aliphatischen Aminen statt, sondern es tritt quantitative Verseifung zu den entsprechenden Aminen ein. In feuchter Luft sind aromatische Isocyanate neben den aus ihnen entstandenen Aminen beständig. Ebenso können in verd. Lösungen (Konzentration etwa 0,001-m) von aromatischen Isocyanaten in organischen Lösungsmitteln die entsprechenden Amine bestehen, ohne mit den Isocyanaten zu reagieren. Für beide Fälle werden Beispiele gebracht. Analysen vorschriften werden mitgeteilt.

Summary

Aromatic isocyanates react quantitatively with secondary aliphatic amines in dimethylformamide to yield ureas, whereas there is no reaction with aromatic amines provided an excess of aliphatic base is present. In mineral acid solution there is no reaction with either aromatic or aliphatic amines, but instead there is quantitative saponification to the corresponding amines. In moist air aromatic isocyanates are stable in the presence of the amines they have yielded. Likewise, the corresponding amines can exist, without reacting with the isocyanates, in dilute solutions (concen-tration around 0.001M) of aromatic isocyanates in organic solvents. In-stances are given for both cases. Analytical procedures are provided.

Les isocyanates aromatiques réagissent sur les amines aliphatiques secondaires, dans la diméthylformamide, en donnant quantitativement naissance à des urées; il ne se produit aucune réaction avec les amines aromatiques tant que la base aliphatique reste en excès. Dans les solutions d'acides minéraux, il ne se produit aucune réaction ni avec les amines aromatiques, ni avec les amines aliphatiques, mais il se produit une saponification quantitative avec formation des amines correspondantes, Les isocyanates aromatiques restent stables dans l'air humide en présence des amines auxquelles ils ont donné naissance. De même, en solution diluée (de concentration environ 0,001 m) d'isocyanates aromatiques dans des solvants organiques, les amines correspondantes peuvent subsister sans réagir sur les isocyanates.
