I. Preservation of the infectivity of influenza virus during purification and concentration by gradient centrifugation

Summary

The use of peptone and Mg++ions added to sucrose solution during purification and concentration of influenza virus by density-gradient centrifugation in ratezonal and continuous-flow rotors lead to complete preservation of viral infectivity.
