Summary
The effects of the receptor destroying enzyme (RDE), potassium periodate and trypsin on the non-specific inhibitors and specific antibodies were studied, employing the haemagglutination inhibition and neutralization tests. It was found that whereas RDE and potassium periodate had no deleterious action on specific antibodies even after 64 hours of treatment, trypsin caused a readily demonstrable decrease in the specific antibody titre already during the first 30 minutes of treatment.
