Summary
Studies on density of purified Aura virus grown in two different hosts have shown that this does not differ with the host used for its propagation. Virus grown in tissue culture has a mean value of 1.198±0.008 g/ml and virus grown in suckling mouse brain a mean value of 1.193±0.009 g/ml. The statistical analysis does not show significant difference between the mean density of these two virus populations.
From these results it appears that the density of this member of group A of arboviruses does not depend on the host used for its propagation.
