Stellenwert der Punktionscytologie bei Riesenmammatumoren

The value of aspiration cytology in giant breast tumors

Summary

Examinations by fine-needle biopsy are compared with histological data. In preoperative diagnosis aspiration cytology is a useful method which provides useful information on the nature of giant breast tumors. Giant tumors should be aspirated in several places.

Zusammenfassung

Unter 3 000 Mammatumoren in 30 Jahren wurden 9 Riesenmammatumoren beobachtet: 2 Brodie-Tumoren, 4 Fälle mit Cystosarcoma phylloides, von denen 3 maligne Umwandlungen erfuhren, 2 Riesensarkome und 1 Riesencarcinom. Die punktionscytologische Untersuchung liefert eine präoperative befriedigende Diagnostik der Tumortypen. Voraussetzung sind multiple Punktionen.
