Abstract

The paper describes a technique of expanding power series solutions to sets of equations that can be applied formally to a set of equations by a ‘compiler’ type program. A program suitable for an algebra system is generated that when run will produce the power series expansions by recurrence relations. Examples are given from Celestial mechanics.
