Band broadening in a wall-jet type electrochemical detector for liquid chromatography

Abstract

Band broadening in a large volume wall-jet cell electrochemical detector for liquid chromatography has been studied. Two regimes of stable operation were found which correlated well with the formation of smooth flow patterns. Smooth flow is also found to be important for avoiding erroneous results caused by backmixing.
