Electron microscope investigation on the relationship between the smooth muscle cell of the proc. vermiformis and the autonomic peripheral nerves

Zusammenfassung

Mit Hilfe des Elektronenmikroskops wurde die Beziehung zwischen der glatten Muskelzelle des menschlichen Wurmfortsatzes und der neurovegetativen Peripherie untersucht.

Folgende Ergebnisse wurden erzielt:

  1. 1.

    Weder das Schwannsche Leitplasmodium noch das Hüllplasmodium der Ganglienzelle im Meissnerschen Plexus sind syncytialer Natur. Die benachbarten Zellen sind durch Grenzmembranen voneinander geschieden.

  2. 2.

    Die Axone werden von den Schwannschen Zellen bis zur glatten Muskelzelle umhüllt und werden innerhalb der Muskelzelle „nackt”.

  3. 3.

    Das vegetative Nervensystem, das die glatten Muskeln des Verdauungsorgans innerviert, ist mit freien Endigungen bzw. synaptischen Endformationen versehen. Eine kontinuierliche plasmatische Verbindung zwischen dem Axon und der glatten Muskelzelle ist nicht aufzudecken.

Résumé

L'appendice humain a été employé à étudier la structure périphérique du nerf végétatif à l'aide du microscope électronique, spécialement en ce qui concerne l'étude de la jonction du nerf végétatif aux cellules musculaires.

  1. 1.

    Les cellules de Schwann de la formation végétative terminale et celles de la capsule qui couvre une cellule ganglionnaire dans le plexus de Meissner sont toutes les deux nonsyncytiales. Les contours de limite entre les cellules adjacentes s'observent clairement.

  2. 2.

    L'axon est enveloppé dans les cellules de Schwann jusqu'à ce qu'il atteigne la cellule musculaire viscérale, mais cette enveloppe manque dans les cellules musculaires.

  3. 3.

    Le nerf végétatif qui innerve le muscle viscéral dans le tracte gastro-intestinal a des terminaisons libres ou formations synaptiques. L'union plasmatique entre l'axon et la cellule musculaire viscérale n'existe pas.
