Abstract

A new method for the development of the disturbing function of the three-body problem is outlined in this paper. A special process is devised to get the distance Δ between two planetsP 1 andP 2 in terms of their heliocentric distances. It is then shown that the differential equations of relative motion of this problem can be brought in an homogeneous set of differential equations.
