Zusammenfassung
Die Grundlagen der vorgeschlagenen Methode sind folgende:
-
a)
Summary
The fundamental principles of the method proposed by us may be resumed as follows:
-
a)
On a X-ray photograph of the dog's head taken previously the place of the sella turcica (Turkish saddle) is found as well as its projection upon the roof of the skull.
-
b)
The animal's head is fixed by means of a simplified device.
-
c)
On the dog's skull, during the operation, after a certain measuring guided by the roentgenologic findings, the projection of the Turkish saddle is determined, and hence that of the hypothalamus as well.
-
d)
The electrodes are brought into their right position by means of an ingenious, yet not complicated device and tied together with a fastening system, whose ground is then filled up with Duracryl.
The method admits one-stage or two-stage implantations of the electrodes. The latter are well tolerated by the animals, and remain steady for months or even for years.
-
a)
