Summary
Our experiments seem to demonstrate a relation between the pressor action and thus the sensitivity of the neurovegetative system, and the ECG changes caused by the injection of adrenaline. Rhythm changes were more frequent in cases of high pressor response group. On the other hand, the changes of the terminal phase of the ventricular complexes were more significant in cases of low pressor response. In the most cases the rhythm changes started when the pressure curve was already dropping, while the changes of terminal phase started almost every time when the pressure curve was still rising. Since we used in all cases the same amount of adrenaline, it seems that the adrenaline sensitivity of the neurovegetative system has an important part in the determination of the type of changes caused by the injection of adrenaline.
